Bless the day I figured out how to make a great vanilla/caramel latte at home for the same money we were spending on coffee and flavored coffeemate for the "regular" coffee maker. Dug out the old espresso machine and looked up recipes on the Starbucks website (Click on the 'Art of Brewing' link on the right...). As I look back, I see that over 6 months ago, when I started this, I was just learning. Well, I've gotten it down! In fact, today might just be a 2-latte day! A little vanilla syrup from our friendly neighborhood Wegmans, some caramel syrup from the ice cream topping aisle... we're good to go! Of course, it must be consumed from my favorite, huge Starbucks mug! I may be making the coffee at home most days, but they still get my money one way or another. And I do need my coffee. The 3-yr-old is at the end of the dreaded potty training. It's so much easier to just change diapers... but she can't be in them forever, so we do the pull-ups and hope for the best.
